About the GreenSmart Future Challenge

To celebrate 45 years of excellence, KONE Elevator (Hong Kong) Ltd. is hosting the "GreenSmart Future Challenge" to encourage primary school students to use the AI writing tool MintMind to develop sustainable solutions. This competition emphasizes the integration of technology and environmental protection. Participants can utilize the AI program to assist with their creations, demonstrating innovative thinking and enhancing their writing skills to produce creative articles that benefit the environment. It also promotes the idea of digital carbon reduction — AI evaluation reduces paper waste, and intelligent screening improves efficiency, working together to build a greener Hong Kong.

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled full-time primary school students in Hong Kong.
  • Individual participation.

Requirements

  • Theme Scope: Solutions must emphasize the three main themes of sustainable development, digitalization, and environmental innovation.
  • Word Count: No word limit.
  • Tools: Must use the MintMind AI writing tool to complete the task.
  • Language: Written in Chinese.
  • Creativity and Practicality: The work must be innovative and include explanations of real-world applications.

Submission Method

  • Submit your work and registration form on MintMind.
  • Each student can only submit one piece of work.
  • Deadline: September 30, 2025 (Hong Kong Time).
  • The submission deadline is based on the server time shown by the organizer. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Award Details

  • First Part: MintMind will select 20 outstanding works from all submissions based on the scoring criteria.
  • Second Part: A judging panel consisting of the KONE management team will select the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and merit awards from these 20 works.
  • Third Part: From the 20 selected works, MintMind will generate a cover image for each proposal using AI. These images will be uploaded to KONE’s official Facebook page, where public voting will open from 15 to 31 October 2025. The five works with the most Likes will win the Popularity Award.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Participants must currently be enrolled full-time in primary schools in Hong Kong and ensure that all information provided is true and accurate. If needed, the organizer may request relevant documents to verify their identity.
  2. All participants must ensure their work is original. They can use MintMind for assistance but are not permitted to use other AI writing tools. The organizer might use AI detection software to review submissions. If AI involvement is suspected, the participant could face disqualification. 
  3. Participants must confirm that their work has not been published, broadcasted, used for commercial purposes, or entered in any other competitions in any form or medium.
  4. The submitted work must not include obscene, violent, pornographic, defamatory, inappropriate, or controversial content. Violators will be disqualified. If the content or opinions violate the law, the participant assumes all responsibility, and the organizer is not liable.
  5. Each participant may submit only one entry. Once submitted, it cannot be changed, exchanged, or retrieved.
  6. The copyright of the submitted work belongs to the organizer, who has the right to modify and use it in whole or in part for publicity, exhibitions, reproduction, publication, or other purposes without additional payment or notice.
  7. Each participant consents to the organizer's use of their personal data for the competition and related activities (if applicable). Personal data will be destroyed within 120 days after the competition concludes. 
  8. Participants must accept that the organizer’s decisions regarding the competition and evaluation are final. In case of disputes, the organizer reserves the right to make the ultimate decision, including suspending, modifying, or ending the event or its terms at any time without prior notice. 
  9. By participating in the competition, participants fully understand and agree to all the terms and conditions. If the organizer has reason to believe that a participant has violated any rules, it reserves the right to disqualify the participant and/or revoke their award.
